The Tiger Woods of women's bowling?
The ESPN announcers made that reference to Michelle Feldman early in her match Sunday against Missy Bellinder. By the end of the telecast, Feldman had done nothing to dispel that notion.

With her 200-147 victory over Bellinder to win the CLR Carmen Salvino Scorpion Championship, Feldman captured her second straight Women's Series event in three tries. She lost the title match in the season-opening tournament.

Indeed, the 32-year-old Auburn woman has displayed winning characteristics. During match play of the Women's Series, her 21-6 record has propelled her to the top of the leaderboard in all three events.

Feldman picked up another $10,000 paycheck Sunday for her triumph at Brunswick Zone Hawthorn in Vernon Hills, Ill. That increased her earnings to $26,000 for three weeks of work.

Or perhaps it's just plain fun.

“I have no idea how I'm doing this,” Feldman joked in a posting on pba.com. “I just feel fortunate that I'm bowling well. Hopefully I can keep this up and do it again next week.”

The top-seeded Feldman was never in trouble against Bellinder, the second seed. She started with three straight strikes, and then tacked on two spares. Bellinder, meanwhile, opened in three of the first five frames, handing Feldman a 52-pin lead.

But Feldman kept at it. Frustrated with a split in the sixth, the talented right-hander came back with resolve a frame later, jamming the 1-3 pocket for a strike.

“Hit on it!” Feldman said on the air after the delivery, suggesting that her wrist action had previously been flat.

She cruised to the title. After her final ball she clutched the trophy and looked into the camera, on the verge of tears.

“I have no words for this right now,” she said. “It's an unbelievable feeling.”

Feldman goes for her third straight Women's Series title starting Thursday at AMF Thruway Lanes in Cheektowaga.
