• Don't let others rob you of happiness
  Thanksgiving is a time to take a closer look at the things in our lives that we can be grateful for. Now, this does not mean that we should set aside political activism, or that we should stop trying to better ourselves. It just means that we should pause to take stock of our blessings.

• Inmates valuable to green efforts
  Gov. David Paterson's town-hall appearance at the Syracuse Civic Center on Nov. 11 sparked much local interest. He rightly sounds the alarm on the monumental task of eliminating present deficit state spending and in the next few years. The issue that I submitted in advance for discussion focused on our state prisons. As we look for ways to cut government expenses and also “green” our environment, our vast prison system should not be ignored.

  As part of the Auburn Baseball program, I would like to personally thank Kevin Polcovich for donating his time and instructing a baseball clinic for players between the ages of 8 and 13 years old.
