D-days sponsoring trip to Toronto
The Auburn Doubledays are hosting a trip to Toronto on May 30 to 31 to watch the Blue Jays play the Boston Red Sox. The trip includes two games at the Rogers Centre and hotel accommodations in downtown Toronto.

The cost is $260 per person for those who book before Dec. 1 (based on double occupancy).

To reserve a spot on the bus, contact the Doubledays at 255-2489. A deposit of $125 per person is required and refundable if canceled by Feb. 1. Both games will begin at 1:07 p.m. and the bus will leave Auburn at 6 a.m. on Saturday, May 30, and return to Auburn immediately following the Sunday game. Passports will not be required.

AHS baseball clinic begins Nov. 22

Auburn alum and former Major League Baseball player Kevin Polcovich, along with the Auburn coaching staff, will help instruct an Auburn High School baseball clinic from 3:30 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22 and from 8 a.m. to noon on Sunday, Nov. 23.

The clinic is available for ages 8 to 13 and costs $50.

Players are encouraged to bring their own equipment.

The clinic will be limited to the first 50 sign-ups.

CYO basketball

The Auburn CYO is holding sign-ups for its high school basketball league from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 19 and Tuesday, Nov. 25, at Sacred Heart Church.

Players must be Catholic and be able to provide proof of affiliation upon request.

Cedar House to host Thanksgiving event

Cedar House Lanes will host its second annual doubles best-ball tournament Nov. 27 with squads at 7:30 and 9:30 p.m. There will be two divisions: 401 combined average or higher, and 400 or lower.

A top prize of $200, based on 36 entries, will be awarded. For more information, call Cedar House at 685-5117.

Bavaro book signing Nov. 22 in Auburn

Former N.Y. Giants and Notre Dame tight end Mark Bavaro will be signing his new book, “Rough & Tumble” from 2 to 5 p.m. on Nov. 22 at the Knights of Columbus in Auburn.

Free tailgate food will also be provided.
