Orange crush Golden Grizzlies
SYRACUSE - All it took was one half against Oakland of Michigan for Syracuse to show it's ready for the first big test of the young season.
Jonny Flynn had 18 points to lead five Syracuse players in double figures, and the Orange's newfound man-to-man defense shut down the Golden Grizzlies in the first half in a dominating 86-66 victory Friday night.
“We're coming off a good game,” said Flynn, who had 27 points in a comeback 76-71 win over Richmond on Tuesday night. “We played great defense and executed on defense. We're ready.”
