English, Spanish Renaissance song graces Cortland

The Elizabethan Conversation will perform “Lutes and Love,” a program of English and Spanish Renaissance music, at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 23, in the United Presbyterian Church, 25 Church St., Cortland.
The duo consists of Derwood Crocker on the lute and Dr. Susan Sandman on the lute, bass viola da gamba and recorder. They will be joined by soprano Rebecca Furbush-Bayer. Songs to be performed include John Dowland's “Can She Excuse my Wrongs” and “Behold a Wonder Here,” as well as Thomas Campian's “Never Weather Beaten Sail.”
