Town highway association supports Jim Smith

Wednesday, November 19, 2008 11:49 PM EST

We, the members of the Cayuga Town Highway Superintendents Association, would like the people to know that our president Jim (Smitty) Smith has been president for several years and has been professional and done an excellent job looking out for the interest of all the towns in Cayuga County.
We don't know whether he is right or wrong in the charges which have been brought against him, but until he is proven guilty, he is innocent. He has done an excellent job as the president of our organization and has looked out for towns whether his or another town. He has always tried to negotiate for our chips money (roads) and snowplow contracts to get the best deal possible.
