After all the problems we've had in the last few months, we're finally finding out that these political people who run our towns, cities, the whole government, are not really worth what they're getting paid.
They are taking trucks traffic from routes 41, 41A and 38 but not Route 20 --- there are more trucks on this road than on all the others. They speed, tailgate and drive wild, so you take your life into your own hands every time you pull out of your driveway or road.
No wonder the county is broke and raising our taxes. They're paying health insurance and mileage to the county legislators, and they do a $25,000 feasibility study, but think of the good things they could do with that money and not raise our taxes.
I hear about some of these salaries of the superintendents of the highways getting $85,000 or $90,000 a year -- they're not worth that much money. Let's cut some of the salaries in the government. You guys aren't really worth it and you've proved it.
