Ex-car dealership employee charged with stealing customer deposits
A local man was arrested by the Cayuga County Sheriff's Office on Wednesday after he was accused of stealing customer deposits from an Auburn car dealership, deputies said.
Dale V. Cuddeback, 30, of 32 South Lewis St., Auburn, a former employee at H&L Ford on Grant Avenue, was charged with scheme to defraud and grand larceny in the fourth degree, both felonies, and petit larceny, a misdemeanor.
An investigation into Cuddeback was initiated after his employer filed a complaint with the sheriff's office, deputies said.
