Unity House has found its next executive director from within the organization.
The organization said Monday it has hired Elizabeth A. Werner into the top post to succeed Joyce Williams, who will retire in April. Werner officially takes over April 3.
Werner has worked for 12 years at Unity House, including more than nine years as deputy executive director. She will work closely with Williams as part of a transition period put in place by the board.
Auburn-based Unity House provides rehabilitation, employment and housing services in six New York counties for people with developmental disabilities, chemical dependencies and mental health illnesses.
