Auburn city officials will discuss and vote on personnel and construction permits tonight during a city council meeting.

According to the agenda, councilors will vote on changing the nature of some positions within the Department of Public Works.

They will also consider a measure that would transfer to the codes department the authority to grant various building permits.

The meeting will take place at 6 p.m. in Memorial City Hall council chambers, 24 South St.

There will also be a general session for the public to be heard at the beginning of the meeting.
