I am writing this letter to address all those individuals that find it necessary to try and pass farmers while they are moving their equipment from field to field. The other day I was traveling down the road and got behind a farmer in a combine. A driver came up behind me and began to flash his lights at me and blow his horn. I looked in my rear view mirror and the driver was not only coming around me but also attempting to pass the combine. This driver ended up driving in the field in order to go around the combine. By doing this the driver needlessly put a lot of people's lives in danger. Makes me wonder if these individuals complain about farmers with food in their mouths. The next time that you think to complain about these farmers and their equipment look at your plates and say thank you instead. Without these dedicated men and women we would live in a very different world. To all the farmers out there I say thank you for everything you do.

Martin Luther King Jr. once said that he dreamed people should be judged not by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. On election night with 96 percent of the black vote going to one man, we saw how far we still are from achieving his dream. A man was elected based on the color of his skin and not the content of his character. John McCain was a man with character. A man who sacrificed more for his country than most any of us could ever dream of. He was a man who supported Bush in a time it was not popular to do so, he believed what was happening was right and we would be better for it. Obama says that he fights for the middle class family, all the people. But when the cameras are off, he calls people from small towns, angry bitter people who cling to their Bible in one hand, and their gun in the other. McCain stayed by Bush when doing so hurt his campaign. Obama had his longest closest friend, Reverend Jeremiah Wright disappear for the election, and then downplayed their friendship.

At long last, the election is over, thanks be to God! I thought that Senator McCain gave a gracious concession speech, and that President-Elect Obama's victory speech was inspiring. We are all Americans, and we are all in it together. We shall all have to sacrifice to get our country back on the right track. Obama seemed calm, cool, and collected throughout the campaign. Finally, we have a president who is governed by reason, and not passion!
