Arcuri distorts record with his commercial

Sunday, November 2, 2008 12:05 AM EDT

I am disgusted to see the commercial Mike Arcuri is running about Richard Hanna. The general public should be outraged by the flat out lies in the advertisement. I expect more from elected officials, and if anyone should know how wrong it is to be untruthful then I imagine it would be Mr. Arcuri. The 2006 Congressional campaign was one of the most repugnant in the nation. Now, two years later, Mr. Arcuri is using smear tactics? It makes me sick.
My vote goes to Richard Hanna on Nov. 4. He is someone who stands for integrity in government. He has led this community behind the scenes for decades. I can't think of a better person to shake up Washington than someone who isn't a career politician. Richard Hanna's television advertisements are honest and point out Mr. Arcuri's extremely partisan voting record. Did you know that 85 percent of Mr. Arcuri's funding comes from special interests? Did you know that on the same day he voted to bail out Fannie Mae he also took $2,000 in donations from them? We know now because Richard Hanna told us the facts. Not lies or mistruths, but facts. That is what we should expect from our leaders, and that is why I stand behind Richard Hanna.
