Judging by the way things are presently in the good ol' USA, one couldn't logically think that the majority of Americans are on the same page relative to good Christian principles.

Without question, American Christians seem completely oblivious as to what path God expects us to take relative to living out our lives as Christians.

Ninety-nine percent of our elected representatives call themselves Christians. Well, if they were real Christians they wouldn't be doing what they've been doing. Want proof? Try this: “As you have done to the least of my brethren, you have done to me.” That's what Jesus Christ has asked us to do and going on 2009 years, it's mostly not being done.

Quoting a recent letter writer to The Citizen: “Obama wants to spread the wealth around.” That's socialism he states. Then he says we need to wake up. But reality is he and everyone who thinks as he, needs to wake up.

Spreading the wealth is not socialism. It's what God has always wanted from the beginning. Why is “The Tree of Life” with all its fruit not being shared equally with all of God's children?” Why can't all Christians get real and accept the real intention of “The Tree of Life and its concept?”

Then there's “do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” Why is there always this hatred and mean-spiritedness toward others. What's up with waging an illegal and immoral war in Iraq and torturing detainees in the most despicable ways at Iraqi prisons? Some have even died from it. Even women and children under 9 were at the same prison. Ninety-nine percent of those detainees were innocent and eventually released.

Shame on our government leaders who call themselves Christians and condoned such atrocities. God bless America? I think not right now. When America and its leaders are of one mindset with God and implement his teachings, only then will it be.
