Rochester Diocese Bishop Matthew Clark was recovering after undergoing a successful knee replacement surgery Tuesday at Highland Hospital in Rochester.
The Rochester Diocese oversees Catholic churches in 12 counties, including Cayuga. It said Clark will remain in the hospital to undergo standard rehabilitative therapy.
Clark had previously undergone hip surgery last spring.
The diocese said that anyone who wishes, may send Clark a get-well card by writing to Bishop Matthew H. Clark, Pastoral Center, 1150 Buffalo Road, Rochester, NY 14624.
