A local woman was arrested by the Auburn Police Department for allegedly stabbing her husband with a kitchen knife three hours after she refused to press charges against him during a domestic disturbance on Saturday, police said.
Police said they originally responded to a disturbance at 213 Janet St. at 4:50 a.m., where Kathryn Conley, 25, told police she and her husband were drinking alcohol when they got into a fight.
Conley went on to tell police she would not press charges because they would work things out.
At 7:58 p.m., officers responded to a call at Auburn Memorial Hospital after Conley's husband was transported to the emergency room with a stab wound to the left side of his torso.
The victim initially told officers one of his friends accidentally stabbed him, but after conducting an investigating, officers accused Conley of using the knife to attack him during a second domestic disturbance and charged her with second-degree felony assault, police said.
The victim was later transported to University Hospital for further treatment with non-life threatening injuries, police said.
Conley was arraigned in Auburn City Court and remanded to the Cayuga County Jail without bail.
