While over the final days of the 2008 election the television, Internet and newspaper media will be primarily focused on the presidential election, it is important for voters to realize that other contested races also appear on the ballot. These additional contests present equally important choices that need to be made.

One such election will be on the ballot for voters in Auburn's 15th county legislative district.

Cynthia Aikman is the Democratic and Auburn Party candidate for this special election being held on Tuesday, Nov. 4. Ms. Aikman offers sincere dedication to the community. She has an employment background with extensive experience working on economic development projects. As a property owner, she is concerned about the impact of county finances on local households. Raising a family in Auburn, she is genuinely concerned for the safety and protection of our city's neighborhoods.

On Tuesday, Nov. 4, when the voters of Auburn's 15th county legislative district travel to the polls for the very important presidential election, they should also remember the special election for their county legislator, and, cast their vote for Cynthia Aikman.
