Conservatives not making the world a better place

“Make the world a better place, punch a liberal in the face.”
Wow! Aren't these boob tube talk show hosts on Time Warner Cable clever? I wonder how long it took to come up with such a clever play on words? Probably as long as it took George Bush to come up with “Let's make those tax cuts permanent!”

Enough of this tomfoolery, let's get down to business.

First of all, as one nation under God and a society priding itself as one civilized and under law and order, advocating punching someone out is a no-no on both ends. Conservatives can't come up with any other ideas for improving the good ol' USA, but by felony assault on another and by tax cuts that help nobody but the wealthy and the lunatic fringe money-grubbers of Wall Street.

You'll never hear a conservative say anything nice about those on the lower end of the socio-economic scale. How odd that they won't and they pride themselves on being of good Christian values. Jesus always stood up for the least of our brethren. Because they have nothing much doesn't mean they're all shiftless, lazy and don't care about anything.

That great (in the eyes of conservatives) former Prez Reagan had the gall to say the homeless enjoyed sleeping on park benches and under bridges. And as far as helping the poor, he wanted no part whatsoever in doing that. In conservative circles, he is continually praised for his welfare reform. In actuality, all it amounted to was transferring money earmarked at helping the poor to the corporations, oil barons, etc.

What has been the end result? More poor and more filthy rich. All the chaos in these presently hard economic times is the result of pure unadulterated greed and selfishness. Thanks to those great think tank GOPers, things continually worsen instead of getting better. And the TV and radio talk show hosts solution is: “Punch a liberal in the face, and make the world a better place.”

" cm, please--those people are mentally ill. Please don't make them sound like happy people to be sleeping in a cardboard box.
Cripes--is this the kind of delusional crap that your crowd tells themselves to alleviate their collective conscience? "

" Actually there ARE a few homeless that DO like living on the streets. I honestly know a couple, and it IS their preferred lifestyle.

I will never understand the reasons why they enjoy this, but to them its their way of life and they dont want to live any other way. "
