Lake effect snow to impact Cayuga County

Snow showers will continue throughout Cayuga County during the day Wednesday into the evening, the National Weather Service is saying.
An NWS hazardous weather outlook issued early Wednesday morning for southern Cayuga County says 2 to 4 inches of lake effect snow showers are possible under persistent lake effect bands, with about inch of accumulation outside the bands.

A lake effect snow advisory has been issued for northern Cayuga County through 4 p.m. Wednesday. The advisory calls for 1 to 4 inches on average, with higher amounts in the more persistent bands.
