UPDATE: Change to snow to happen Tuesday night, accumulation forecast revised

The latest from the National Weather Service on the winter weather coming to the region:
The afternoon forecast for Tuesday calls for continued rain, with winds arund 21 mph and gusts up to 31 mph. The rain will continue into the evening, then change over into snow showers between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m. There's then a chance of snow after 2 a.m. Winds will be between 20 and 23 mph sustained, with gusts up to 34 mph. Overnight accumulations are now targeted at 1 to 3 inches

Snow is possible again on Wednesday, with 1 to 3 inches possible.

Heavy, wet snow and strong winds could bring down some tree limbs and power lines as this system rolls through the region.
