BUFFALO -- Erie County elections officials want to question Buffalo Sabres owner B. Thomas Golisano under oath about his dealings with two political action committees.
Republican Elections Commissioner Ralph Mohr and Democratic Commissioner Dennis Ward said Tuesday they've put the request in writing.

The Board of Elections last week raised questions about Golisano's Responsible New York committee's association with two PACS controlled by former Erie County Democratic Party Chairman Steven Pigeon. The elections officials suspect the PACS of illegally coordinating with the state Senate campaign of Democrat Joe Mesi.

Pigeon says the allegations are untrue and politically motivated. Golisano also says there's no wrongdoing and calls the matter a "cheap political stunt."
