Walk scares up cash
PORT BYRON - Halloweeners at the Haunted Walk in Port Byron got their money's worth Friday night as they braved the autumn chill to delight in ghouls and gore along the route.
About a mile from Route 38 on Halsey Road, a sign in the Hobby family's front yard, “Haunted Walk, Stop Here,” directed visitors up the lighted, maple-lined driveway to a refreshment stand near a fire pit where everyone could get warm and grill hot dogs.
This walk benefits Jonathan Moore, an autistic Port Byron fourth-grader who is suffering from leukemia.
