SCHENECTADY -- A traffic backup on the New York State Thruway just west of Schenectady is clearing up after police reopened one lane.
State Police say a tractor-trailer hauling residential garbage rolled over early Friday, spilling trash. Westbound traffic was rerouted off the highway at Exit 26 for several hours, reopening shortly before 9 a.m.
Police say a car was also involved in the accident, but injuries were minor.
