Off of passes from Laura Taylor and Marissa Slayton, Sarah Green and Brittany Rabuano each scored in the second half to help the 10th seeded Auburn girls soccer team earn a 2-1 win over No. 7 Rome Free Academy in the Section III, Class AA playoffs Wednesday.
“The girls were very positive,” Maroons coach Tom Quest said. “At the half we talked about executing plays and they came out and did it starting with a nice head ball from (Green), a play we have been working on a lot lately. We are just taking it one game at a time now and the girls are very excited.”

Auburn advances to play Christian Brothers Academy on Saturday.
