Not voting at all better than picking from this crop

Saturday, October 18, 2008 11:50 PM EDT

It is sad these days what we allow to be accepted as the norm. Screaming crying spoiled brats getting whatever they want.
By that I mean the politicians in Washington. I am not going to be part of this norm any longer.

I am a registered Republican with conservative values and I won't be voting this Nov. 4 because I demand better. I demand real candidates who will do what they say and not talk to me in a condescending tone. I demand that we have a better choice than only a choice between the lesser of two evils.

Why do we expect our leaders to reach for the stars when they are only required to stand on the ground? We as a people accept that it's OK for a presidential candidate to look into our faces and lie. It is our own fault. We have only ourselves to blame!

Maybe it will send a message if enough of us don't vote.

" Brew, your right there is a distinct difference between the 2. One of them will take a little bit longer run this country into the ground. Wake up, take the blinders off and stop being an ignorant pawn. "

" will people finally get it straight--it's the "Democrat-IC" Party. There is an "IC" at the end of it!
It's like saying "Vote the Republic Party!
Sheeesh! "

" There is a distinct difference between these two candidates. They may not be exactly what you are looking for but the results of this vote will change the course of the nation for at least 4 years. Not voting is shirking your responsibility as a citizen. Smarten up and vote! "

" There will be a lot of people voting, and the way ACORN is promoting Obama, there will be a lot of votes for him. "

" Mr. Bellnier - Why not consider sending your message by voting for a third party candidate that more closely represents your conservative values? For example, Bob Barr of the Libertarian Party is on the ballot in New York state. There's also Chuck Baldwin of the Constitution Party, but unfortunately he's a write-in. Although I'm not a conservative, I wholeheartedly agree with your position and would encourage everyone to vote for third party candidates whenever possible, and to vote out the incumbent candidate regardless of his or her party affiliation.
