The Cayuga-Onondaga Board of Cooperative Education Services REC Health Related Occupations I students participated in the “Let's Not Meet by Accident” program last month at SUNY Health Science Center.
Students were shown the effects of a motor vehicle accident and had the opportunity to observe the trauma room and attend a presentation by the Onondaga County Sheriff's Department medical helicopter unit.
Also, the Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES REC Health Related Occupations I students, as part of fire safety month and their health related occupations training, attended fire extinguisher training on Oct. 3, at the Aurelius Fire Department.
Students were trained in the proper usage of fire extinguishers and had the opportunity to tour the department and be oriented with the equipment.
