Refurbished facade in Port Byron ‘truly appreciated'

Wednesday, October 15, 2008 11:47 PM EDT

Recently several men have refurbished the facade of 120-124 Main St. in Port Byron. Already, these changes are truly a “bright spot.”
There are many more redecorations to do, but now we have a beginning.

Your efforts are truly appreciated.

" The letter I commented on was about parking and the Citizen attached it to a different letter. "

" My point is that if your house has no driveway the city has no responsibility for your car to have a parking space. Even if your street has no parking you must park where there is legal parking. If you lived in New England where streets are narrower than NY when a snow emergency is declared you can't park on any street so you park in the nearest public parking lot. If you are handicapped or a senior you must call the senior center or emergency management agency for a ride from a public lot to home. The city is not a providor of your personal parking space. "
