Several county computers vandalized over weekend
The Cayuga County Sheriff's Office is investigating a burglary after several Cayuga County Health and Human Services computers were vandalized, deputies said.
Detectives believe someone used a key to gain access to the offices at 5:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 5, at 8 Dill St., Auburn, because there was no sign of forced entry, deputies said.
The suspect then entered the Certified Home Health Agency and the Community Health Services Department, which are located in the building's basement, and began cutting cables that were connected to several other county offices located on nearby floors.
