Q. What is the most rewarding part of working on your own yard?
A. It's relaxing and it helps me to kill time. I also have pride in a job well done. I do my own mowing, pull and spray for weeds and mulch around the trees and the house. I do it for four hours, two times a week every week.
Q. What is the most challenging?
A. The weather. I can't stand the heat for that long.
Q. How much time do you spend in the yard?
A. I do it for four hours, two times a week, every week. I do it all by myself. I figure somebody has got to do it, and I enjoy doing it. It helps to keep me young and active.
Q. What's the best way to relax after a tough day?
A. Coming into my air-conditioned house to cool off and relax by watching some TV.
Q. What do you like most about the Finger Lakes region?
A. It's quiet. I don't like a lot of noise, and it's peaceful here. Also, there isn't a lot of traffic. The scenery in the area is also beautiful.
Q. If you had a choice of meeting any three people in the world, who would they be and why?
A. Jeff Gordon because I have been watching him ever since he was a kid. I have followed him throughout his entire career. I would also want to meet Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez because they can hit home runs and get on base for the Yankees.
Q. If you were to win the lottery tomorrow, what is the first thing you would do?
A. I would take a trip to Las Vegas and blow all of my money.
Q. What would people who think they know you be most surprised to find out about you?
A. That I bought myself a Cadillac to celebrate my 90th birthday.
Q. If you were mayor, what's the first thing you'd change?
A. I would lower taxes; they are too high.
Q. Do you have any special plans for the next few months?
A. I am going to go on a vacation and see my daughters and grandchildren.
