Jeremy Bennett led the Auburn boys soccer team with two goals in a 3-0 win over Waterloo, Tuesday.
Tim Sproull helped lead the Maroons offense with a goal and an assist. The Maroons had 20 shots on goal and seven corner kicks.
Adam Cadwallader finished with five saves.
Auburn (3-11 overall, 1-9 in league) travels to West Genesee, Thursday.
GIRLS SWIMMING
Skaneateles 97, Cortland 81
The Lakers won all but four events, including diving. Mandi Steves, Gaelyn Price, Holly Ross and Rachael DeWitt won the 200 medley relay (2:12). DeWitt also won the 200 IM (2:33.72) and 500 freestyle (5:57.72), Ross came in first in the 50 freestyle (28.17) and Sawyer took the 100 butterfly (1:10.49).
Sarah Sawyer took the 200 freestyle (2:11.14) and Britton Weber touched first in the 100 backstroke (1:12.35). Weber, Price, Sawyer and Nikki Cole won the 200 freestyle relay (1:52.38).
GIRLS SOCCER
Union Springs 4, Southern Cayuga 0
Amanda Cuff and Alex Blackman scored two goals apiece for the Wolves. Union Springs had the advantage in shots 19-7 and in corner kicks 10-8.
TENNIS
Fayetteville-Manlius 6, Auburn 1
Claire Minnoe had the sole win for the Maroons in first singles (6-1, 6-2) to up her personal record to 12-1 on the season.
Auburn (10-3) earned the No. 4 seed in the Section III, Class AA playoffs and will face fifth-seeded Cicero-North Syracuse on Friday.
FIELD HOCKEY
Weedsport 2, Cato-Meridian 0
Allison Pelton scored the Warriors first goal with the assist coming from Brittany LeForce.
Samantha Wezowicz scored the final goal, while Kaitlin Hammersley saved two shots.
Chelsea Terpening saved three shots for the Blue Devils.
Weedsport (5-9-1) hosts Clinton, Friday
Cato-Meridian (0-12-1) travels to play Vernon-Verona-Sherrill, Friday.
