Second-half surge lifts Lakers

Jordan-Elbridge held the lead at halftime, but Skaneateles wasn't ready to pack it in.

The Lakers misfired on first-half opportunities, but second-half goals by Grace Van Der Ven and Destin VanTyle propeled Skaneateles to a 2-1 win over the Eagles, Monday.

“We had a lot of opportunities in the first half that didn't come to fruition,” Lakers coach Lauren Wiese said. “It worked out that we have midfielders that can make shots from outside the box.”
