Basal cell cancer, squamous cell cancer, malignant melanoma - John McCain, at age 72, has had all of these cancers and yet refuses to release a copy of his medical records to the public.
What is McCain's state of health? We don't know, and he doesn't want us to know. Many doctors are not happy with this, and over 2,500 medical doctors have signed a petition asking McCain to release the 1,500 pages of his medical reports to us, the citizens of the United States. To see a couple-minute film about this go to “bravenewfilms.org.”
Hey, John McCain, what are you hiding about your health? Maybe your choice of Palin as a distraction to boost your campaign was not such a good idea when it's not sure if you even have a year left on this planet.
The debate with Palin on Thursday evening may be more about a choice of president rather than just a choice of a subordinate to the Great McCain.
Hey, John McCain, show us that you have the guts to let us see your medical records, all 1,500 pages of them.

Release of McCain's Medical Records Provides Unusually Broad Psychological Profile
By LAWRENCE K. ALTMAN
Published: December 6, 1999
"In releasing 1,500 pages of medical and psychiatric records, Senator John McCain of Arizona has provided an unusually large amount of such material for a candidate for high office, including the broadest look ever given the public at the psychological profile of a presidential candidate."
The article goes on to say," In one of the first examinations after his release from captivity in 1973, Dr. P. F. O'Connell, a Navy physician, said Mr. McCain ''has adjusted exceptionally well to repatriation'' and had ''an ambitious, striving, successful pattern of adjustment.'' Dr. O'Connell wrote that psychological tests were normal and confirmed his impression.
Ten years later, an assessment found Mr. McCain to be friendly and cooperative. He received high marks for being alert, energetic, warm, spontaneous and flexible, having concern for others and a sense of humor."
Additionally,"The campaign released a statement by Dr. Michael M. Ambrose, director of the Robert E. Mitchell Center for Prisoner of War Studies, and Dr. Jeffrey L. Moore, a clinical neuropsychologist at the center, that said: ''Senator McCain has never been diagnosed with or treated at the center for a psychological or psychiatric disorder. He has been subject to an extensive battery of psychological tests and following his last examination in 1993, we judged him to be in good physical and mental health.''
Dr. John D. Eckstein of Scottsdale, Ariz., who has cared for Mr. McCain since 1992, said he has found the senator ''to be in excellent health.''"
So he has released said records to the press and hence the public, years ago. I can understand wanting a president that has a clean bill of mental & psychological health, yet how many of the past POTUS's have been held to such a standard?
If that is going to be required of McCain then all the candidates should have to go through a battery of the same tests and release the results. Just because the rest of them were not POA's does not mean that they don't have latent or well hidden problems. How often do we hear how so & so the serial killer, rapist, child molester seemed like such a normal nice person? "

I honestly don't think that McCain is right in the head. "

Biden is not far behind at 66 and is the same heartbeat away from the Presidency as Palin. Where are HIS health records? Internet searches show only that he had 5 deferments in 1968 and was disqualified from service in Vietnam because of asthma as a teenager.
Obama at 47 we would think should be a shoe in for health and vitality. However, he was a heavy smoker for 25 years (though currently in the process of quitting) and he has a family history of cancer (his mother died at 50 from cancer). Added to the statistical facts that African-Americans are far more likely to have high blood pressure, heart attacks AND strokes at a younger age with greater death rates I am not sure anyone should be bringing health or age (when implying death is closer for that candidate) into the mix.
Palin at 44 is relatively new on scene and like Obama, appears young and vital. Not much has been reported on her health history, but with a baby recently born she no doubt was being seen by a physician regularly in the recent past. She is, however, at an age where breast cancer is an important issue for any woman.
Now lest we forget that ANY one of them is subject to target by assassins, terrorists, etc… They also could fall to accidents (happens all the time all over the world), complications from the stress related to their jobs as we all know stress does great damage to all the systems of the body.
The point being that perhaps age & medical history should not play as big a role as some would like it to. If ever there was a person I didn’t expect to live out one term, let alone two it was Cheney. "
