has dedicated workers
We are writing this letter in response to the recent uncomplimentary press articles regarding the alleged abuse of a resident by a staff member of the Seneca Cayuga ARC. We do not take this alleged abuse lightly and we are sure that there will be and should be a full investigation immediately.
However, we would like to take this opportunity to relate our personal experience with praise for the many staff members who approach their jobs with heart and dedication on a daily basis.
For the last 15 years, our daughter/sister has been in two different day treatment sites in Auburn, and for the last four years in a Seneca Falls residential home. We have nothing but admiration and respect for all the workers she has come in contact with. We have always been invited to stop by either place at any time, which we have done many times over the years. The staff has always been courteous, supportive and respectful of all of their clients and to us as well.
Our family would like to thank all the dedicated employees for what probably seems like a thankless job. We know at times it can be very stressful, frustrating, exhausting and other times full of laughs. We are hoping that “one bad apple won't be allowed to spoil the whole bunch?”
