Cody Stanton kicked off league competition with a first-place finish (16:02) for the Jordan-Elbridge boys cross country team in an 18-45 over Skaneateles and a 19-44 victory over Solvay, Tuesday.
The Lakers' Calvin Davis was second (16:21) and the Eagles' Mike Marrero finished third (16:41). Greg Bader placed fifth (17:39), Tom Poppe came in sixth (17:45) and Steve Slonosky took seventh (17:48) for the Eagles.
“I am extremely pleased with our race today,” Jordan-Elbridge coach Rog Roman said. “To pack up as we did showed (our) great depth.”
The Lakers' Steve Tucker finished 12th (18:15) behind Davis.
Jordan-Elbridge competes at the McQuaid Invitational, Saturday.

Bekah Ortquist took second (2:42.62) in the 200 IM, while helping Caitlin Rejman, Lisa Stauderman and Amber Heslop to a second-place finish in the 200 medley relay (2:18).
Stephanie Morse placed second in the 100 freestyle (1:02.45), Ortquist finished second in the 500 freestyle (6:09.95) and Devon Balk took second in the 100 backstroke (1:18.81).
Rejman finished second in the 100 butterfly (2:18.34). Morgan Mattoon, Erin Mattoon, Rose Mandall and Morse took second in the 200 free relay (2:01.29).
