Three-peat: Phillips wins Auburn Invite

AUBURN - Jason Phillips found himself in a familiar place on Saturday.

The Moravia runner won the Class C/D flight at the Auburn Cross Country Invitational for the third straight year. He finished in 16:48.

But there was still a first for the Blue Devils - they fielded a full team. And as a reward, they earned third-place honors with 55 points. Joe Grobelny came in fifth (19:05), Billy Janke was 14th (21:27), Adam Wietheuchter took 17th (22:14) and Richie Bentley took 18th (23:03) for Moravia.
