It was the first loss of the year for the Chiefs.
Marathon took 10 shots on goal, while Southern Cayuga had seven.
Southern Cayuga (6-1 overall, 3-1 league) travels to Union Springs, Saturday.

Kaleb Maine-Brown saved four shots, while the Maroons had nine shots on goal and five corner kicks.
The Warriors had 15 shots on goal and one corner kick.

Virginia Porten saved 10 shots, while the Warriors battled back after the teams went scoreless at halftime. The Maroons had four shots on goal and five corner kicks, while Liverpool had 13 shots on goal and three corner kicks.

Mike McLaughlin played in his second career match and rewarded the Maroons with a round of 36 at Drumlins West Country Club.
He also had two birdies and was the medalist of the event. Bob Dushatinski shot a 37, Harrison Davenport had a 38 and DJ Fox finished with a 42.
Auburn (4-5, 3-4) travels to Oswego, Monday.

Waverly 57, Southern Springs 37
Stephanie Morse led the Southern Springs team to a first place finish in the 100 freestyle (1:04.08) and took second in the 50 freestyle (28.81).
Caitlin Rejman, Lisa Stauderman, Amber Heslop and Bekah Ortquist came in second in the medley relay (2:16.69). Rejman came in second in the 100 butterfly (1:15.33) and the 100 backstroke (1:16.16).
Erin Matton set a personal best with a second place finish in the 200 freestyle (2:30.38). Kathryn Carter took second in the 100 breaststroke (1:22.79).
Carter, Rose Mandel, Matton and Ortquist won the 200 free relay (1:58.10). Kim Burke, Devon Balk, Mandel and Tyrrell took second in the 400 free relay (4:42.09).
VOLLEYBALL
Moravia 3, Southern Cayuga 2
Brandi O'Hara led the Blue Devils with 21 service points, 13 assists and six aces as they won 25-7, 22-25, 11-25, 25-18 and 25-25.
Gabe Chiddy had four kills, four aces and three blocks. Jen Cornwell finished with six kills and five aces, while Claire Hunsinger had four kills, three aces and two blocks.
The Chiefs Samantha Wood had five kills and five blocks, while Emilie Cipriano finished with six kills.
Moravia (2-5, 2-1) hosts Watkins Glen, Saturday, while Southern Cayuga (3-4, 2-2) travels to Lansing, Tuesday.

Megan Cahill had 14 assists for the Maroons as they won by scores of 22-25, 25-10, 25-20 and 25-21. Emily Felter had eight kills and Katie Brown finished with six kills. Nicole Bozek led the team in digs with four.
