A man was sent to the hospital with minor injuries on Tuesday after some firewood and lawn equipment fell off a trailer he was towing, and sheered a utility poll, officials said.
A spokesman from the Cayuga County Sheriff's department said the accident happened at 12:04 p.m. on Route 90.

The victim, who was not identified, was transported to Cayuga Medical Center in Ithaca.

Authorities were still investigating what caused the cargo to fall off the trailer, deputies said Units from the King Ferry and Genoa fire department responded, in addition to NYSEG, who was called to deal with the fallen power line, deputies said.
