Sloppy play costs Warriors
WEEDSPORT - The Weedsport football team was a mere 14 yards from getting the touchdown it desperately needed to stay with Watertown IHC Friday night.
But just when it looked like the Warriors were going to get back in it, the same problems that plagued them from the opening drive came back to stop the Warriors dead in their tracks - and push them back some.
Penalties and a rock-solid IHC run defense pushed Weedsport back from IHC's 14-yard-line to the 29 and ended any chance of a late rally as the Cavaliers came out on top, 14-0.
