Amanda Cuff passed for a goal and Lindsey Artman saved seven shots.
The Wolves led 3-0 at the half and had 22 shots on goal, while also recording three corner kicks.
The Senecas had only nine shots on the goal and had three corner kicks by comparison.
“Our defense worked very hard today,” Wolves coach Corinne Bowman said. “They have all year. It's nice to see them rewarded with a shutout for the hard work.”
Union Springs offense accomplished their goal heading into the game, as they were able to space out their offense.
“It was our best game to date,” Bowman said.
The Wolves (2-2-1) now turn their main focus onto their next opponent in Marathon on Wednesday.
Last year, Marathon defeated them at Tompkins-Cortland Community College in a play in game for the Division III playoffs.
“We need to pick up our intensity,” Bowman said.
“Play strong defense and focus on who has the ball. (Marathon) is a well-coached, tough team. We need to do what we did tonight play together.”
