Do you have the travel bug?
The Friends of the Weedsport Free Library and First Choice Travel, Inc. invite you to join us at the “Radio City Christmas Spectacular” in New York City Dec. 6 and 7.
The bus will leave from Weedsport and arrive in NYC early Saturday, Dec. 6, afternoon.
You may choose your own adventure in midtown Manhattan from 1 to 8 p.m. Choices could include shopping, museums, Broadway shows, eating - it's up to you.
At 8 p.m. the bus will depart for the hotel (just outside NYC), and I can guarantee, you'll be ready to put your feet up.
On Sunday, Dec. 7, you'll enjoy a delicious breakfast at the hotel and then depart for Radio City Music Hall and the “Radio City Christmas Spectacular.”
Radio City Music Hall salutes the holiday season with a showbiz extravaganza, and the spectacle doesn't stop when the curtain goes down.
Outside, a towering tree glitters in the heart of Rockefeller Center, Fifth Avenue department store windows are decked out with imagination-defying splendor, and it seems a miracle really is about to occur on 34th Street and every other thoroughfare in the city.
America's most beloved holiday theatrical, “The Radio City Christmas Spectacular,” starring the world-famous Rockettes, returns to Radio City Music Hall for more than 200 performances this Christmas season.
The 2008 edition features exciting new elements, as well as traditional favorites, such as the “The Parade of the Wooden Soldiers” and “The Living Nativity” that brings families back to Radio City Music Hall year after year.
The show features a cast of more than 140, glamorous costumes and holiday music written exclusively for the show.
The stars of the spectacular, the Radio City Rockettes, continue to dazzle audiences with precision dance and world-famous eye-high kicks. Santa Claus will make a special appearance from the North Pole.
After the show, you'll have more time to shop and explore, then back on the bus by mid-afternoon for the journey back to Weedsport.
The package price includes round trip motorcoach transportation, one-night hotel accommodations, one breakfast, ticket to the Rockettes (third Mezzanine), driver's gratuity and a $10 donation to the Friends of the Library.
The cost is $249 per person double, $239 per person triple or $229 per person quad.
Deposit of $100 is due by Sept. 26; balance is due by Oct. 30.
