The Southern Cayuga boys soccer team remains undefeated in its fourth straight victory against Groton, 3-0 Wednesday.
Bill Rejman scored two goals to lead the Chiefs, Dylan Parmenter added one goal and Joe Rocker contributed one assist to the effort.
Southern Cayuga also led in shots on goal, 17-4 and corner kicks, 7-2.
Kevin Stockton recorded three saves in goal while Parmenter, Brian Littlejohn and Jordan Dean played well defensively for the Chiefs.
Southern Cayuga (4-0) travels to Newfield Friday.
Union Springs 5, Newfield 2
Justin Lyndaker led the Wolves tallying three goals, Eric Hlywa scored two goals and one assist and Jason Schenck added two assists.
Union Springs lead in shots on goal, 22-8 and in cornerkicks, 6-2.
Leading the Blue Devils defense was Matt Orchard with four saves in goal. Joe Feocco and Sean Zimmer also contributed to the defensive play.
Union Springs (1-3) plays at Moravia Friday.
TENNIS
Auburn 7, Oswego 0
Three matches went three sets for the Maroons as they remain undefeated.
Sam Bruno and Jamie Bruno won first doubles in an extra set 7-5, 0-6, 7-6, 7-4.
Claire Minnoe finished on top in first singles 6-0, 6-0, Jenna Bruno took second singles 6-2, 5-7, 6-2 and Palak Patel won third singles 6-0, 6-0.
In second doubles Kate Searing and Aiswarya Irri won 5-7, 6-4, 6-0, Kara Mariano and Hanora Barron won third doubles 6-0, 6-2 and Samantha Cadwallader and Amy Marinelli took fourth doubles 6-0, 6-4.
Auburn senior Meghan Lashomb won fourth singles in an exhibition match 8-5.
VOLLEYBALL
Southern Cayuga 3, Groton 0
The Chiefs won 25-19, 25-12 and 25-23 led by Kayla Hildreth who earned 12 points, five assists and five aces.
Justine Belles also contributed three assists.
Southern Cayuga (1-3) hosts Newfield Friday.
Newfield 3, Union Springs 1
The matches were 25-16, 25-14, 25-23 and 20-25 for the Wolves losing at home.
Pacing Union Springs was Carli Jakaub recording one ace, seven service points, two assists and seven kills.
Shelby Freligh scored one ace, 14 service points, four assists, one kill and one dig, Susan Nanna tallied one ace, 10 service points, two assists and two digs while Chelsea Fearon contributed two aces, eight service points, two assists and three digs.
“Though we didn't come up with the win tonight,” Union Springs head coach Stephanie Weaver said.
“I am proud of the way my team played. They proved to me, and themselves, that they have what it takes to get the job done. Tonight was a good confidence booster for them and I hope they keep the momentum as we continue through our season.”
Moving on the Wolves (0-4) host Moravia Friday.

Pulaski 15, Cato-Meridian 50
Manlius Pebble Hill 15, Cato-Meridian 49
Aubrey Campbell took eighth place for the Blue Devils (24:53), Angelina Argese finished in 10th (25:08), Jordan Weir earned 11th (26:02), Jessica Bye recorded 15th (27:28), Jessica Cushman followed in 16th (27:30), Erin Annett took 17th (27:37), Kristin Roberts finished in 18th (27:42) and Kristine Delattre rounded it out in 20th place (30:53).
Cato-Meridian (0-1) hosts Port Byron Wednesday.
BOYS CROSS COUNTRY
Cato-Meridian fell to both Pulaski and Manlius Pebble Hill at Southkirk Shores in Pulaski.
Scoring 22-35 against Pulaski, Joe Mattice led the Blue Devils with a second place overall finish (19:23).
Tom Klaben came in fourth (19:40), Larry Treasure finished 15th (22:02), Carl Tousend was 19th (22:33), Chris Krupa ended in 20th (22:34), Robert McLain took 23rd (23:10), T.J. Nervina finished 24th (24:10) and Joe Barbado recorded a 25th place finish (25:48).
GIRLS SWIMMING
Skaneateles 101, Fulton 71
Sarah Sawyer had two first place finishes for the Lakers, in the 200m freestyle (2:12.59) and the 500m freestyle (5:57.68).
Also winning for Skaneateles were Britton Weber in the 200m IM (2:38.11), Kaela Fiutak in diving (169.05), Racheal DeWitt in the 100m freestyle (1:00.54) and DeWitt, Nikki Cole, Jen Sawyer and Gaelyn Price in the 200m free relay (1:55.85).
