The Southern Cayuga volleyball team just can't seem to find a groove.

Southern Cayuga's Jerrilynn Lawler (6) and Kayla Hildreth (12) jump for a block at the net during Monday's match against Candor.
For the third straight match, the Chiefs fell behind early, losing 3-0 to Candor on Monday.

“We started slow, that's kind of been our M.O.,” Southern Cayuga coach Todd Ward said. “We have to do a better job.”

Leading the Chiefs was Jessica Curry with 12 points, Kayla Hildreth finished with nine points and Chelsea Meil had eight points.

Southern Cayuga (0-3) looks for its first win of the season with a division game at Groton, Wednesday.
