HIT: To a good showing for this year's TomatoFest.
The annual fundraiser for local food pantries has had its struggles in recent years, but the organizers made a strong effort to offer more this year. Despite some weekend weather that was not always cooperative, the turnout at the festival was solid.
It's especially enjoyable to see so many families come out to Emerson Park for a day of fun. Watching children enjoy amusement park rides by the lake stirs up some great memories for many people.
