I entered the sixth grade at West Middle School in September of 1972.

That year I was fortunate enough to meet the most influential educator of my lifetime: Tony LoCastro.

His dedication to the game of golf and more importantly his dedication to hundreds of young men and women in our community deserves recognition. I cannot describe in this small space my admiration for Tony. To this day, 38 years later, I still respect and am grateful to call him a friend. “Coach,” enjoy your retirement, and on behalf of all the golfers and students who's life you impacted thank you.
