People should get both sides of vaccine debate

Tuesday, August 26, 2008 11:49 PM EDT

According to Fox News, there has been a measles outbreak. Fifteen people hospitalized, no deaths. References were made to those parents who homeschool and do not have their children vaccinated. Any thinking person would wonder, why would a parent take such a risk and put other children at risk?
Thanks to Robert Kennedy Jr. the public will have additional, accurate information regarding the monumental risks associated with vaccinations. In an article published in the Rolling Stone Magazine, Mr. Kennedy outlines the real story behind vaccinations including the connection between mercury contained in vaccinations and autism as well as the big money involved in the business of vaccinations.

An excerpt from the article states; CDC epidemiologist, Tom Verstraeten analyzed the agency's massive database containing the medical records of 100,000 children. A mercury based preservative in vaccines, thimerosol, appeared to be responsible for autism and a host of other neurological disorders among children. Dr. Verstraeten's stated that he was stunned by his findings. Parents of children who have been diagnosed with autism and other neurological disorders need to know this information.

YouTube is running the interview regarding, Deadly Immunity, or you can see the entire article with a web search, Deadly Immunity.

Parents deserve unbiased accurate information in order to make decisions regarding the health of their children. They deserve the right to know about the illnesses and deaths caused by vaccinations. For more information in that area you can go to VAERS (Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System) on the web. Mr. Kennedy's efforts will help provide parents with foundational information in order for them to know the risks/benefits of vaccinations.

And keep in mind; unvaccinated children are not the enemy. They pose no risk to the rest of society who choose to be vaccinated.

" You can bet the wacky religious sects like the Jehovah's Witnesses are behind the rise in measles and other outbreaks--prime examples of they who refuse vaccinations for "religious reasons"!
From an article on today's AP wire:
"Wednesday, August 27, 2008 1:45 AM EDT
ATLANTA - Measles cases in the U.S. are at the highest level in more than a decade, with nearly half of those involving children whose parents rejected vaccination, health officials reported Thursday.
Worried doctors are troubled by the trend fueled by unfounded fears that vaccines may cause autism."
I am not convinced that the vaccines do NOT cause autism, but measles, smallpox, polio, etc have been at EPIDEMIC levels, and it is not wise nor fair to put the general population at risk because of some alleged links to autism, which I don;t know if they have ever been properly validated?! "

" You are right, unvaccinated children are not the enemy. They aren't the ones making the choice not to protect themselves. If these children knew what they'd have to go through when they get sick, they would probably choose to be vaccinated. It is completely irresponsible of these parents not to protect their children from these potentially deadly diseases and to put my children at risk. I read an article recently and was very bothered by the large number of families that get 'exemptions' and are allowed to send their children to school without vaccinations. I am curious to know how frequently that happens around here. What is my recourse in a situation like that? I want to ensure that my child is not exposed to these diseases, even though he has been vaccinated. why should my children be put at risk? That is not right. "
