The Village of Port Byron greets you with a new community clock. The clock, located at the village triangle, was manufactured by The Verdin Company and has a lighted dial for illumination at night.
Verdin, located in Cincinnati, Ohio has been a leader in tower and street clocks since 1842.
We will always be drawn to the memory of the clock that was part of the bell tower at the Federated Church. The majestic clock became a landmark at Port Byron and has been sadly missed since the loss of the church in the labor day storm of 1998. The church has since relocated and rebuilt at its new home on Tex Pultz Parkway.
The street clock at the village triangle is a welcome addition to Port Byron and its visitors.
Dawn L. Row is the new historian for the village of Port Byron.
