Auburn loaded the bases in the eighth inning but failed to pull off the rally, and watched their season-high losing streak extend to six games, in a 4-3 loss to Jameston Saturday at Falcon Park.

The Doubledays' sloppy play continued with four errors in the field.
In the eighth, the Doubledays tried to mount a rally, but Joel Collins grounded out to end the inning and leave the bases full. Carlos Vasquez reached on an error to lead off the eighth and advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt. Brian Van Kirk went down looking to pick up the second out and the Jammers switched pitchers. Adam Amar singled to load the bases, but Collins ended the threat.
Matt Wright started for the Doubledays and lasted 3 2-3 innings, while giving up four hits for two runs, one earned run. Matt Daly earned the loss as he tossed 1 2-3 innings, giving up two hits and an earned run.
The Jammers broke the tie in the seventh inning off a Joel Staples double to score Miguel Fermin. The run came with one out after Fermin was hit by a pitch and Ben Lasater was walked.
Leance Soto had a big night for Auburn, picking up four hits while Collins racked up three hits. Mike McDade and Soto had RBIs.
The Doubledays had 11 hits total but left 15 men on base.
