Five million dollars went from the U.S. Treasury to Habbush, Tahir Jalil Habbush, the head of Iraqi security, prior to the invasion of Iraq by United States troops, in March 2003. Mr. Habbush was the equivalent of our George Tennet, the head of the CIA of the United States.
All these millions of dollars were paid to Habbush in order to get the facts from him about the weapons of mass destruction, the WMDs which Bush-Cheney was claiming Iraq had. And Habbush revealed the truth, that Iraq had neither; Iraq used to have biological weapons, but these were destroyed after the 1991 war. Of course Bush-Cheney buried the report of these truths, which Habbush told; it was not the sort of news Bush-Cheney wanted to hear.
Five million dollars is a lot of money, but it was still not enough to buy Mr. Habbush's complicity in crafting a letter to his boss, Saddam Hussein. He would not sign a fabricated letter making up lies which were convenient for Bush-Cheney.
So, the CIA head, George Tennet, had to order the forgery of this handwritten letter from Habbush to Saddam Hussein.
This was an all-inclusive letter for Bushco to justify this war against Iraq, and talked of WMDs and al Qaeda's connections with Iraq. After all, Bush-Cheney had to cover their butts as best they could; lying a country into war is serious business, not to be done by amateurs.
So now comes the revelations of Ron Suskind's book from his interviews with the people who were “in the system” at the CIA. And Suskind has the tapes of the interviews which he did with these people, as these people are getting soft kneed in admitting the truth, now that it is in the public view, for all to see.
It's illegal - it's illegal for the CIA to create propaganda as ordered in the law which established the CIA, to lie in order to propagandize the citizens of the U.S. But Bush-Cheney ordered it, and George Tennet did his illegal job. (No wonder Bush gave George Tennet the medal of honor after all this.)
Now the question for us: “Will our gutless, oath-breaking congressman, Michael Arcuri, suddenly find some spine and take Bush-Cheney to account in the impeachment investigation and trial?
Or will this ex-prosecutor, Michael Arcuri, lay low, on his yellow belly, and continue to break his oath of office to preserve, protect and defend the U.S. Constitution?

By the way:
While yellowcake alone is not considered potent enough for a so-called "dirty bomb" — a conventional explosive that disperses radioactive material — it could stir widespread panic if incorporated in a blast. Yellowcake also can be enriched for use in reactors and, at higher levels, nuclear weapons using sophisticated equipment.
