The Board of Directors of Transportation Project (SCAT Van Service) and I would like to extend our gratitude to the congregation of Half Acre Union Church for their efforts in raising funds for the SCAT Van Service.
An ice cream social was held Sunday, July 13, offering hot dogs, salads and delicious ice cream sundaes. The break in the rainy weather was a welcomed sign and we were pleasantly surprised at the amount of $610 raised for our service! That amount will fuel one van for a full five weeks - wonderful!
For 32 years, the SCAT Vans have transported the senior and disabled citizens of Cayuga County. It has become a vital resource to those who can no longer transport themselves to needed appointments. This community has always been aware of the importance of the SCAT Van Service and has always “come through” when we are in need.
Thank you Half Acre Union Church for the kindness you've shown to us. We truly appreciate your efforts.
