A head-on collision killed one person on Route 90, just outside of Union Springs, on Sunday afternoon, officials said.

At 2:33 p.m., a 1997 Mercury operated by Gordon G Parr Jr., 38, of Union Springs, was north bound when it crossed the double solid line striking a 2007 Toyota south bound, operated by Elizabeth A Boesen, 56, of Penn Yan.
Front-seat passenger Bret A Boesen, 49, was pronounced dead at the scene and passenger Karin L. Boesen, 14, was transported by ambulance to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse with non-life threatening injuries.
Lorie Sell, 36, who was in the Mercury, was transported by ambulance to Upstate with non-life threatening injuries. Elizabeth Boesen was transported by Mercy Flight to Upstate Medical with non-life threatening injuries.
Gordon Parr and Corey Parr, 5, were transported by ambulance to Auburn Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
Accident reconstruction was done by the Cayuga County Sheriff#,s Office. Traffic charges are pending. The crash happened 50 feet north of Conners Road, shutting down traffic as for up as Townline Road.
Deputies believe all of the occupants were wearing their seat belts, officials said.
The sheriff's office was assisted at the scene by the Union Springs Fire Department, Aurelius Fire Department, Mercy Flight, Cayuga Ambulance, Aurora Ambulance, Throop Ambulance, TLC Ambulance and Cayuga County Coroner Dr. James Dolan.
