ROCHESTER - A 31-year-old man who Rochester police say caused a serious traffic accident on Friday is dead.
Marcus Jenkins was taken to a hospital shortly after the accident on Friday morning. He was listed as deceased Sunday morning.

Rochester police say Jenkins was injured after he sped through a red light at the corner of North Street and Clifford Avenue and crashed into an SUV driven by 44-year-old David Diaz. The impact slammed both vehicles into a nearby building.

Jenkins was extricated from his car, which was demolished in the crash. Diaz was partly ejected and pinned between his vehicle and the building. He remained hospitalized in guarded condition Sunday.
